Shelter Us From the Enemy – Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We ask that you protect our marriage from evil. Shelter us from the enemy. Don’t let him come between us or deceive us into believing a lie.
Teach us to handle our anger well, to manage our emotions, and to offer each other grace. For it’s in those moments of testing that we’re vulnerable to Satan’s lies and deception. He’ll tell us that we’re better off alone. He’ll bargain with our future. He’ll twist the truth and promote a lie.
Don’t allow him to divide us, to get a foot in the door, or to take a place in our marriage.
We belong to You, Lord. This marriage is centered on our faith in Jesus Christ, and in His name we rebuke anything and anyone who tries to come between us.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Bible Verse of the Day
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. – Romans 6:11-14, KJV
In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. – Romans 6:11-14, NIV
Busy Books Bible Study for Kids
If you’re looking for a great Bible study for kids, readers are raving about Busy Books Bible Studies for Kids. Here are just a few of their comments:
Underpriced for the Quality (5 Stars)
This book is adorable! I was surprised by the thickness. So many lessons, coloring pages, and fun puzzles. The graphics are well done and the lessons are informative. It’s a good guide for walking younger children through the Bible. However, its a great quiet time lesson for older children to do on their own! I’m very impressed and look forward to more this author puts out! (Linda Trahern, Amazon Review)
Much Better Than Expected (5 Stars)
My grandchildren are going to devour this Bible study. The stories are written for easy understanding and scriptural as well. Exciting puzzles and questions to get them digging excitedly in their bibles. Much better than I expected. When is book 2 coming out? (Gary Rajata, Amazon Review)
