Speaking Life with Our Words - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Our words carry weight—more than we realize sometimes. A kind word can heal, and a careless one can wound. And in marriage, where hearts are tender and trust is sacred, our words matter more than ever.
Help us to speak life into each other. To choose words that build up, comfort, and encourage—even when we’re tired, frustrated, or feeling misunderstood. Teach us to pause before we speak, to think before we react, and to let grace shape every conversation.
When we’ve said things we regret, give us humility to make it right. When we’re on the receiving end of harsh words, give us courage to forgive and space to heal.
Let our home be filled with words that reflect Your heart—words that bring peace, restore connection, and remind us daily that love is patient and kind.
May we be slow to anger, quick to listen, and eager to speak the truth in love.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
