Speaking Truth Ourselves – Today’s
Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We ask that You remind us to take time for You daily. Time in prayer, time in Your Word, and time devoted to being an encouragement to each other. Some days we’re busy, and other times we’re tired, but as much as our bodies need food to survive, we also need time in Your presence and the fellowship of other believers.

Throughout the gospels, we read about Christ and how He slipped away from the crowds to spend time with You. He fasted, He prayed, and when He was tempted, He disarmed Satan with the truth. May we have an enduring hunger for Your Word and show Your power by speaking truth ourselves.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. – Matthew 4:2-4, KJV
