Steadfast and Resolute In Our Faith

Steadfast and Resolute In Our Faith – Today’s Marriage Prayer

Join Our Current Bible Study

Ruth: Echoes of Christ, Our Kinsman Redeemer

Over the course of four weeks beginning Tuesday, February 20th, join me as we explore the profound significance of the unknown kinsman, uncover the rich symbolism of his shoe, and connect the dots to the Ten Commandments.

We’ll look back at the lives of Biblical characters like Lot, Perez, Judah, and Tamar, seeking to understand their roles in God’s story. Questions like ‘Where does Naomi fit into all this?’ and ‘Why is the timing of these events so crucial?’ will guide our exploration, as we uncover the beauty and depth of these Biblical narratives.

Karissa is also back to bless us each week with her insightful videos. If you would like more information on our study, visit our website.

Steadfast and Resolute In Our Faith

Steadfast and Resolute In Our Faith –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

By Your grace, we ask that You help us to grow and mature in our faith so that our faith may be complete. In James 2:26, James says “faith without works is dead”. May the works we do be the good works of love. May they be the result of You working in us, and not from ourselves. May we be godly examples to those who witness what we say and do.

Your word tells us to make every effort to add virtue to our faith and knowledge to our virtue, and so we’re asking You, Lord to guide us as we continue to grow.

Knowing that we want to mature is one thing, but practicing our faith takes patience, self-control, kindness, and love. Please grant us the ability to go the extra mile when it is required of us, and the wisdom to be still when we should.

May we be steadfast and resolute in our faith.

Thank you for your unfailing grace.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. – 2 Peter 1:5-8, KJV

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. – 2 Peter 1:5-8, NIV
