Teach Us to Be Present — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for being fully present with us—never distracted, never distant, always attentive to our needs. We ask that You teach us to be present with one another in the same way. When our minds wander or our attention is divided, gently draw us back to the moment You’ve placed us in.
Help us to listen without rushing, to respond without distraction, and to give one another the gift of our full attention. We ask that You show us how presence can speak love even when words are few—how simply being there can bring comfort, reassurance, and peace.
Lord, guard us from living side by side while drifting apart in thought or spirit. Teach us to notice one another, to value the time we share, and to treat each moment together as something entrusted to us by You.
We ask that our marriage be shaped by this quiet faithfulness—hearts attentive, minds engaged, and love expressed through presence. Teach us to be fully here, with one another, and with You.
