Teach Us to Bear With One Another

Teach Us to Bear With One Another — Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

We thank You for the patience You show us day after day. Your Word calls us to bear with one another, and we ask that You teach us to live this out within our marriage. When differences feel difficult or when understanding does not come easily, help us respond with patience rather than frustration. Remind us that love is often expressed through endurance—through the willingness to stay present, to listen carefully, and to extend grace even when it is not easy. Help us recognize when our expectations are too rigid or our responses too quick, and gently guide us back to humility and compassion. Teach us to carry with care the moments that test us, knowing that these are the places where love grows deeper.

Lord, strengthen our hearts so we do not grow weary in loving one another well. Help us remain steady, forgiving, and willing to grow. We ask that You shape our marriage into a place where patience is practiced, grace is extended freely, and love is strengthened through every season.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
