Teach Us to Begin Again — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You that with You, beginnings are never exhausted. We ask that You teach us how to begin again within our marriage. When yesterday ended with weariness, misunderstanding, or words we wish we could take back, remind us that today is a gift of fresh mercy.
Help us not to drag yesterday’s failures into today’s conversations. We ask that You give us willing hearts to start again—with patience renewed, forgiveness offered, and hope restored. Teach us that beginning again is not denial, but trust in the grace You provide daily.
Lord, show us how to greet one another with openness instead of guardedness, and kindness instead of caution. May each new day be an invitation to love more thoughtfully, to listen more carefully, and to walk forward without keeping a record of wrongs.
Thank You for being the God who makes all things new—and for teaching us to live in that truth together.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
