Teach Us to Cherish What You’ve Given

Teach Us to Cherish What You’ve Given — Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

We thank You for the gift of marriage and for the blessing of walking through life with someone You have entrusted to our care. We ask that You teach us to cherish what You’ve given. In the midst of routines, responsibilities, and the pressures of daily life, remind us not to overlook the value of the love we share.

Help us slow down enough to notice the good—small kindnesses, quiet faithfulness, and the steady presence of the one beside us. We ask that You help us appreciate not only the joyful moments, but also the ordinary ones where love is quietly strengthened.

Lord, teach us to protect what matters most. When distractions arise or discouragement settles in, draw our hearts back to gratitude. Remind us that a cherished marriage is built through intentional choices: gentle words, patient attitudes, humility, and a willingness to grow.

We ask that You deepen our appreciation for each other and for the work You are doing within our home. May our marriage reflect a love that honors You—faithful, sincere, and continually renewed by Your grace.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
