Teach Us to Choose Love Again - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You that love is not sustained by feelings alone, but by faithful choices made day after day. We ask that You teach us to choose love again—not only at the beginning, but in every season that follows. When love feels easy and when it feels costly, help us to remain faithful in how we speak, how we respond, and how we give ourselves to one another.
Remind us, Lord, that love is lived out in ordinary faithfulness: in patience when we are tired, in forgiveness when we are hurt, and in perseverance when the road feels long. We ask that You guard us from drifting into indifference or routine, and instead renew in us a steady devotion shaped by Your grace.
Help us remember that every day offers another opportunity to love well. Another chance to listen, to extend kindness, to remain present. Another moment to reflect the love You have shown us so faithfully.
We ask that our marriage be marked by this quiet, enduring love—a love that stays, that grows, and that points back to You, the Author of love itself.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
