Teach Us to Grow Through What Challenges Us — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You that You use every part of our lives—both the ease and the difficulty—to shape us into the likeness of Christ. We ask that You help us grow through what challenges us. When misunderstandings arise or frustrations surface, remind us that these moments are not obstacles alone but opportunities for maturity.
Teach us to pause long enough to ask what You are forming within us: patience that wasn’t there before, humility that softens our responses, compassion that broadens our understanding. We ask that You help us resist the urge to withdraw or react quickly, and instead seek wisdom in the very moments that test us.
Lord, show us how challenges can deepen our love rather than weaken it. Let these difficult moments refine our character, strengthen our commitment, and draw us closer to You and to each other.
We ask that You give us teachable hearts—willing to admit where we fall short and eager to receive the growth You provide. Make our marriage a place where trials become teachers and where Your grace carries us through every test.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
