Teach Us to Look for Your Hand in Our Marriage — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your steady presence in our lives. We ask that You teach us to look for Your hand in our marriage—to recognize the quiet ways You are shaping us, guiding us, and helping us grow. When days feel ordinary or progress feels slow, remind us that You are still working beneath the surface.
Help us see the small moments where Your grace is evident: the softened response, the unexpected patience, the gentle shift in our attitudes, and the strength to love when it doesn’t come easily. We ask that You open our eyes to these signs of Your faithfulness, so our hearts may be encouraged and our hope renewed.
Lord, keep us from assuming that change must be dramatic to be real. Teach us to value steady growth, humble steps of obedience, and the quiet work of Your Spirit in our daily lives.
We ask that You deepen our trust in Your timing. Strengthen our confidence that You are forming something lasting within us—one choice, one prayer, one moment at a time. May our marriage reflect the beauty of Your ongoing work and the peace that comes from depending on You.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
