Teach Us to Number Our Days — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the wisdom of Your Word, which teaches us to number our days so that we may gain a heart of understanding. We ask that You help us live with this perspective in our marriage. Remind us that our time together is a gift—not something to take for granted, but something to steward with love and intention.
Teach us to number our days so we choose patience over irritation, kindness over neglect, and gratitude over complaint.
Teach us to number our days so we invest in what will outlast us—faithfulness, encouragement, forgiveness, and love grounded in Christ.
Teach us to number our days so we treasure the moments that seem small but carry great weight in shaping our hearts and our home.
Lord, help us use our time wisely. Keep us from drifting through days without purpose or allowing distractions to diminish what matters most. We ask that You give us the wisdom to slow down, to value one another, and to build a marriage that reflects Your goodness.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
