In My Father's House

Our newest Bible Study In My Father’s House is now underway.

It’s not too late to join as we see the beautiful work God is doing in His people as He gathers, shapes, strengthens, and prepares us for the eternal home He has promised.

In My Father’s House is a study about belonging, surrender, refinement, hope, and the promise that one day, every child of God will finally be home.

Teach Us to Speak Well of Each Other

Teach Us to Speak Well of Each Other—Today's Marriage Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

It’s easy to say kind things about someone when they’re standing nearby. But the real test often comes when they’re not in the room. The words we choose in those moments reveal something about our hearts. They have the power to strengthen trust or quietly weaken it, to honor the one we love or slowly chip away at the respect we’ve built over the years.

Father, help us speak well of each other.

Teach us to be our spouse’s greatest supporter, not only in private, but in public too. Help us resist the temptation to complain, criticize, or make light of each other’s weaknesses for the sake of a laugh. Instead, give us words that reflect honor, gratitude, and respect. Help us remember that every marriage has imperfections, but every spouse has qualities worth celebrating.

When we’re disappointed, give us wisdom to speak to each other rather than about each other. Guard our conversations so they reflect the love You’ve called us to show. May our words become a place of safety, where trust grows because we know we’ll protect each other’s hearts whether we’re together or apart.

Lord, thank You for entrusting us with one another. Help us use our words to strengthen the marriage You’ve given us. May we be known as a husband and wife who speak with kindness, honor each other faithfully, and bring glory to You by the way we talk about the one we love.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs… Ephesians 4:29, NIV
