Dear heavenly Father,

We thank You for the mercy You continually show us—mercy we could never earn and never repay. We ask that You teach us to walk in forgiveness within our marriage. When misunderstandings occur or words fall short, help us respond with humility rather than defensiveness. Soften our hearts when they begin to close, and remind us that forgiveness is not a sign of weakness, but an expression of Your grace working through us. Help us let go of the small offenses that so easily build distance, and give us the courage to address deeper hurts with honesty, patience, and compassion. Teach us to seek reconciliation quickly, to admit when we are wrong, and to extend the same grace we so often need ourselves.

Lord, shape our character through forgiveness. Heal what needs healing, correct what needs correction, and bring peace where tension once lingered. We ask that You deepen our love through every moment where forgiveness is required, reminding us that You are the One who restores, renews, and strengthens the bond between us.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
