Teach Us to Walk in Humility - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the grace that meets us where we are and patiently shapes us into who You are calling us to be. We ask that You teach us to walk in humility within our marriage. When pride rises or opinions collide, remind us of the peace that comes from yielding with grace instead of insisting on our own way.
Help us to see one another through eyes of compassion—to recognize that we both need understanding, forgiveness, and room to grow. We ask that You quiet the inner voice that demands to be heard and strengthen the heart that seeks unity over winning.
Lord, may humility guide the way we speak, the way we listen, and the way we respond when tensions arise. Let it soften our tone, steady our reactions, and open the door to reconciliation quickly.
We ask that You form within us the humility of Christ—gentle, patient, and willing to love sacrificially—so that our marriage may reflect the beauty of a heart surrendered to You.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
