Teach Us to Walk in Patience - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the patience You extend toward us each day—steady, unwavering, and full of mercy. We ask that You help us walk in that same patience within our marriage. When we move at different speeds or see things differently, remind us to slow down, breathe, and respond with grace.
Teach us to show patience in our conversations, in our expectations, and in the small frustrations that daily life can bring. We ask that You help us pause before reacting and listen before assuming. Let patience guide our words and soften our tone so that peace can flourish where tension once tried to settle.
Lord, help us recognize that patience is not simply waiting—it is loving with self-control, trusting Your timing, and giving space for one another to grow.
We ask that You shape in us the calm, steady patience that reflects the heart of Christ, strengthening our marriage and bringing gentleness into every corner of our home.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
