The Amazing Way You Love

The Amazing Way You Love –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

May You grant us the wisdom to choose our steps wisely. We think of all of those times we stepped out of Your will to follow our own desires — choosing our own will over Your’s when temptation crept in. Thank You that by Your grace, You cleanse our hearts and minds, and give us strength. That You give us a hunger to walk in righteousness and truth — that You make us more like Your Son.

Make us willing, Lord. Willing to give Christ His rightful place in our lives and in our marriage. To be at the center of all that we say, all that we think, and all that we do. Help us to make time for Your Word and prayer.

Because of Your unfailing grace, the choices we made in the past don’t define us — the mistakes that we made are behind us. Thank You, Lord, for the amazing way that You love.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:6-9

If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:6-9
