The Confidence to Walk in Truth –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today asking for courage. It’s so important and yet, it’s the one thing we’re so often lacking. But if we seek to be courageous at all, we need Your help and we need Your strength. We ask that You give us the confidence to walk in truth, even when it goes against the grain of this world. As Your Word says The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19).
Give us the courage to trust that all things work out for good when we put our trust in You. Give us the courage to fight for our marriage and to persevere especially on the most challenging days.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. – Deuteronomy 31:6-8, KJV

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” – Deuteronomy 31:6-8, NIV
