The Fullness Of Joy

The Fullness Of Joy –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

In Your Word, Peter refers to joy as “unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Peter 1:8). This joy is so profound it defies expression, so marvelous it surpasses our understanding, and so boundless it fills every part of our being to overflowing.

Happiness can be fleeting, but joy flows from within. It is not dependent on our circumstances and cannot be measured by our possessions. It is part of who You are and who we become in Christ.

We’ll always need Your help. We’ll have our ups and downs, and we’ll come to You in prayer. But even in the darkest moments of our lives, we can possess joy because we deeply desire to abide in Your love.

We know that all things work together for good to those who love and trust in Your Son. May we always abide in Your love with a glad heart, keeping Your word in the fullness of joy.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. – John 15:9-11

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. – John 15:9-11, NIV
