The Lord’s Prayer For Our Marriage –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven,
We come to you today, with humble hearts and a deep desire to seek your blessing upon our marriage. We acknowledge your greatness and sovereignty over all things, and we lift up your name in praise and adoration.
Lord, we pray that you would be at the center of this union, guiding and directing every step along the way. May your holy presence be felt in this marriage, and may it bring honor and glory to your name.
We surrender our marriage to your will and purpose, trusting that your plans for us would come to fruition. We ask that you would provide for us in every way, meeting every need and sustaining us through all seasons of life.
Father, we ask for your forgiveness for any wrongs that we have committed. Help us to extend grace and forgiveness to one another, as you have extended grace and forgiveness to us.
We pray for protection over this marriage, asking that you would guard it against the attacks of the enemy. May we be rooted in your truth and walk in righteousness, resisting the temptations that come our way.
Lord, we declare that you are the King of kings and Lord of lords, and we give you all the glory and honor forevermore. May this marriage be a testimony to your faithfulness and goodness, and may it be a light to the world around us.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. – Matthew 6:9-13, KJV
“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’” – Matthew 6:9-13, NIV
