The Pain and Sorrow of Grief and Loss –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we come to you today, our hearts are heavy for those couples who are facing the pain and sorrow of grief and loss. I pray that your love and comfort would envelop them, and that they would know without a doubt that you are near.

We know that their pain can be overwhelming, so we ask that You give them the strength and support they need to walk through this difficult time together.

May their marriage be a place of refuge, where they can lean on one another and find comfort in each other’s love. May they draw closer to you, and to each other, as they walk through this journey of healing and restoration together.

Father, I pray that you would give them the courage to seek help when they need it, and to be a source of encouragement to one another. Help them to hold tightly to your promises of hope and healing, and to trust in your unfailing love.

May their marriage be a testimony of your goodness and grace, and may they be a shining light in the midst of darkness. Help them to continue to love one another with the same love that you have for them.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
