The Power of the Cross in Our Marriage - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Your Word tells us, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” That power is what we need in our marriage every single day.
Remind us that the cross changes everything—how we forgive, how we serve, how we endure, and how we love. Without it, we fall back into pride, selfishness, and weakness. With it, we find strength to do what we could never do on our own.
Let the cross be our anchor in trials, our example in sacrifice, and our hope in every season. May our marriage be marked not by what we can accomplish, but by what Christ has already accomplished in us.
Because when the cross shapes our love, it becomes more than a covenant between two people—it becomes a testimony of the power of God at work.
