The Powerful Habit of Prayer

The Powerful Habit Of Prayer - Today's Marriage Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

Sometimes we forget what a gift it is to pray for each other—to pause in the middle of a busy day and bring our spouse before You. But what a powerful way to love. What a tender way to connect.

Remind us that prayer doesn’t have to be complicated. A simple “Lord, help them today” or “Thank You for their heart” can change the tone of our marriage in ways we may never fully see.

Help us to be intentional about lifting each other up—to pray when one of us is struggling, when one of us is hurting, or even when things are going well. Keep us spiritually connected and growing side by side.

And when we open up about our faults or fears, let our prayers bring healing and not judgment. Let them bring safety and not shame.

Make our marriage stronger through the quiet, powerful habit of prayer.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.James 5:16, KJV

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.James 5:16, NIV
