Dear heavenly Father,
It’s easy to focus on the to-do list and forget the heart behind it all. Sometimes we get so busy managing life together that we miss the quiet connection we once had—the simple joy of really knowing each other.
Help us slow down. Remind us to look into each other’s eyes, to ask how the other is really doing, and to listen with patience and grace. Teach us to be a safe place for each other—to laugh, to cry, to be honest without fear.
Let our love be more than shared chores and daily routines. Let it be the kind of love that sees below the surface. The kind that gives the benefit of the doubt, that offers gentleness over criticism, and presence over performance.
