Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

With the Christmas season upon us, it’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness and traditions, that we sometimes feel like we are losing sight of the true meaning of the Day. We feel pressured by ads to buy things that we simply can’t have if we want to stay within our means. We don’t want to risk offending anyone by saying no to gatherings of family and friends.

Help us to keep a healthy balance so that we aren’t overspending or over-committing ourselves. May we be mindful of one another as we make these decisions together.

Help us to show our faith through the things we say and do. Give us the wisdom to deal with situations that arise in a way that glorifies You. More than anything, thank You for the precious gift of Your Son.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
