Get ready to join us for our next Bible study:
Jacob: Pursuing God With Steadfast Faith & Unyielding Courage

This new study will kick off on June 4th and will continue for 11 weeks. To prepare your hearts, I encourage you to pick up a copy of the journal on Amazon. As we go through Jacob’s life story, chapter by chapter, we’ll see God’s plan of salvation, Christ’s work on the cross, and lessons rich in life application.

Karissa will be back to bless us with her insightful videos. Together, we look forward to a deep dive into God’s Word and fostering an even closer fellowship among us all. Your participation is the heartbeat of this group, and I can’t wait to see how God uses our collective thirst for wisdom to draw us nearer to Him and to one another.

To Avoid Sexual Immorality

To Avoid Sexual Immorality –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

You created man and woman to be joined together in marriage, becoming one flesh in a covenant relationship that reflects true and pure love. You have designed physical intimacy to be an important part of this relationship, providing a deep and intimate connection between husband and wife that is meant to be enjoyed within the boundaries of marriage.

May we seek to honor You by refraining from any physical intimacy outside of our marriage. May we be careful to avoid sexual immorality and any other form of evil. May we be steadfast, keeping our minds and hearts focused on honoring You in every way.

May You strengthen us that we may live according to Your word, and be self-controlled in all things.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. – 1 Corinthians 7:3-5, KJV

____________________________

The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. – 1 Corinthians 7:3-5, NIV
