To Be a Light to the Hurting

To Be a Light to the Hurting – Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your Word tells us that You came that we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly.

As Satan seeks to kill and destroy, so many couples out there are discouraged. So many are struggling to just get along with each other. Many are wrestling with the idea of marriage and wondering why theirs is falling apart.

Some days we feel like that too, Lord. We recognize our failures and our shortcomings. We see that our words have the power to hurt. We know that our pride stands in the way of our kindness, and we realize that we’re in need of Your strength.

Teach us to be a light to the hurting. To represent the true meaning of marriage so that we might give hope to others. Help us to walk in kindness and grace, honor our spouse with our words, and to be the strong team you design us to be.

May we be imitators of Christ Who gave up His life for the church as we lay down our lives for each other.

May our marriage be blessed in abundance, and may our light shine for Your glory and honor and praise.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Bible Verse of the Day

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. – John 10:10, KJV

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. – John 10:10, NIV

Busy Books Bible Study for Kids

If you’re looking for a great Bible study for kids, readers are raving about Busy Books Bible Studies for Kids. Here are just a few of their comments:

Underpriced for the Quality (5 Stars)
This book is adorable! I was surprised by the thickness. So many lessons, coloring pages, and fun puzzles. The graphics are well done and the lessons are informative. It’s a good guide for walking younger children through the Bible. However, it’s a great quiet time lesson for older children to do on their own! I’m very impressed and look forward to more this author puts out! (Linda Trahern, Amazon Review)

Much Better Than Expected (5 Stars)
My grandchildren are going to devour this Bible study. The stories are written for easy understanding and scriptural as well. Exciting puzzles and questions to get them digging excitedly in their bibles. Much better than I expected. When is book 2 coming out? (Gary Rajata, Amazon Review)
