Jacob: Pursuing God With Steadfast Faith & Unyielding Courage

This new study will continue until August 20th. If you would like to join us, I encourage you to pick up a copy of the journal on Amazon. As we go through Jacob’s life story, chapter by chapter, we’ll see God’s plan of salvation, Christ’s work on the cross, and lessons rich in life application.

Karissa will be back to bless us with her insightful videos. Together, we look forward to a deep dive into God’s Word and fostering an even closer fellowship among us all. Your participation is the heartbeat of this group, and I can’t wait to see how God uses our collective thirst for wisdom to draw us nearer to Him and to one another.

To Be Content With What We Have

To Be Content With What We Have –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We recognize the subtle yet powerful influence that the love of money and worldly possessions can have on our hearts and our relationship. We humbly ask for Your protection against these temptations.

Help us to keep our priorities aligned with Your will, placing our trust and dependence on You rather than on material wealth. Teach us to be content with what we have, remembering that true riches are found in the treasures of heaven and in our relationship with You and each other.

Your Word warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10 that “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” Keep us mindful of this truth, and guard our hearts against greed and envy. May we always seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, knowing that all these things will be given to us as well (Matthew 6:33).

Lord, cultivate in us a spirit of generosity and gratitude. Help us to be good stewards of the resources You have entrusted to us, using them to bless others and to further Your kingdom. Let our marriage be a testimony of Your provision and faithfulness, showing that our hope and security rest in You alone.

We pray for wisdom in our financial decisions, unity in our goals, and a commitment to living out Your principles in our home. May our love for each other be strengthened as we grow in our love and dependence on You.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. – Matthew 6:19-21, KJV

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. – Matthew 6:19-21, NIV
