To Be Renewed In The Spirit Of Your Mind –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts that desire to serve You fully. We recognize that You have created us to honor and glorify You in all we do, especially within our marriage. You call us to live lives free from sin, to purify ourselves from anything that might bring dishonor to Your name. Lord, we know that this includes putting away all forms of bitterness, anger, and selfishness, and instead, choosing to be compassionate, forgiving, and tenderhearted toward one another, as You have been toward us.
But, Lord, we confess that this is not always easy. There are times when sin subtly creeps into our thoughts and then into our hearts, and if not checked, will blossom into sin that will affect our behaviour, and hurt our relationship with You and with each other.
So we ask for Your strength, Lord. Help us to turn away from sin, to identify areas of our lives where we need Your grace and guidance, and to lean on You for the power to make lasting changes. Fill our hearts with the desire to serve You first, knowing that as we do, our marriage will reflect the love and unity that comes from You.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
