To Be Truly Loving

To Be Truly Loving
– Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today and ask that You teach us to be patient with one another, to bear with each other’s faults and weaknesses, and to always strive to understand and support each other. Help us to be kind, showing gentleness and compassion in our words and actions, even when it is difficult.

Grant us the grace to be selfless, putting each other’s needs above our own, just as Christ laid down His life for us. May we always seek to serve one another with humility and love, not out of obligation, but out of a genuine desire to bless and uplift each other.

Father, help us to be forgiving, quick to let go of grudges and eager to restore peace in our relationship. Remind us that love keeps no record of wrongs and that true love seeks peace and healing.

May we be faithful and loyal, honoring the vows we made before You. May our love be a reflection of Your love — life changing, enduring through all circumstances, and growing stronger each day.

Lord, fill our hearts with Your love, so that it overflows into our marriage. Help us to be truly loving, to see each other through Your eyes, and to cherish the precious time we share. We pray that our love would be a testimony to others of Your goodness and grace.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
