To Be Truly Loving – Today’s
Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

It’s easy to say, “I love you,” but not so easy to show the patience and kindness it takes to be truly loving.

Love is much more than just a word or a feeling. Before we can be loving, we must show humility. Before we can be loving, we must be forgiving. It’s holding our tongue when we want to lash out. It’s making each moment an opportunity for others to shine. It is being a peacemaker.

Love is the good work of faith, the desire of our hearts, and the mark of maturity for the believer. May we never fail to love. May it never be just a word or feeling.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
