To Build Each Other Up — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
You didn’t create us to tear each other down—you brought us together to build each other up. Help us remember that today. In the middle of the busyness, the stress, and even the little annoyances that sneak in, remind us that our words have weight—and we want to use them well.
Teach us to let kindness shape the way we speak. Help us to be encouragers, not critics. Show us how to celebrate each other’s strengths instead of picking apart weaknesses. When one of us is tired or discouraged, let the other be a steady hand, a calm voice, and a reminder of Your truth.
We want our marriage to be a safe place—a place where grace is spoken freely, where kindness comes naturally, and where we’re always cheering each other on toward the good You’ve called us to.
Help us to be patient, to be thoughtful, and to keep growing—not just side by side, but together in love and in faith.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
