Over the course of four weeks, we’ll go through the book together beginning November 26th. Once again, we will have weekly videos, and printable chapters.

To Delight In Your Word Together

To Delight In Your Word Together (Psalm 1) –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to You today with hearts eager to walk in the path You have set before us. Teach us to delight in Your Word together as a couple, meditating on Your truths day and night. Help us to build a marriage that stands firmly rooted in Your righteousness, like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in its season.

Father, protect us from the counsel of the wicked and the distractions of this world. May we not stand in the way of sinners or sit in the company of mockers, but instead seek the wisdom that comes from You. Show us how to grow in grace and truth, encouraging one another to pursue godly living in all we do.

When trials come, let our roots dig deeper into Your Word. When blessings flow, may we praise You together. Help us to bear fruit in our marriage—love, patience, kindness, and humility—so that we reflect Your goodness to those around us.

Guard us, Lord, as we walk the path of righteousness. Guide us in Your ways so that we may prosper, not in worldly riches but in the richness of Your grace. May we always be mindful of Your presence in our marriage, seeking to honor You in every word, action, and decision.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 1 (KJV)

__________________________

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. Psalm 1 (NIV)
