To Exercise Contentment –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We live in a world that constantly tells us we need more — more money, a bigger house, a more exciting life. But Your Word tells us a different story.

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'” – Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)

Father, help us to see the treasure we have in each other and in the life we have together. Remind us that it’s not about material things or lofty achievements. Real contentment is found in the hardships we’ve overcome, the laughter we have shared, and in love. Teach us to value the small moments and to find delight in simple blessings.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. – Philippians 4:11-13
