To Find Comfort This Christmas –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Christmas is a beautiful time to celebrate the birth of Your Son. It’s a wonderful time to spend with the ones that we love. But for some, it’s a painful reminder of those they have lost. For others, it’s a lonely season without family or friends.
And so we bring them before you today. The brokenhearted, the lonely, the homeless, the hurt… the many who are suffering from poverty, sickness, and loss… those who have lost their jobs… those who are mourning a broken marriage… those who have lost their parents, their spouse, their children, their friends…
Bring comfort to each one of them, Lord. Remind them how precious they are. Bring peace to each home, and healing to the sick. Comfort the ones who have lost their children, give rest to their souls. Help those who are seeking employment or facing a layoff. Send help to those who can’t feed their family and those who can’t feed themselves, help them to find comfort in You.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
