To Give More Than We’re Given –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Give us the strength to love each other with passion, persistence, and purpose.
Help us to solidify our commitment and to strengthen our resolve.
Living under the same roof isn’t the same as living together. Sticking around because you promised you would isn’t the same as putting effort into your marriage. And saying, “I love you,” isn’t the same as sacrificial love that calls us to give more than we’re given.
We want our marriage to flourish, Lord. Give us a strong foundation that won’t crumble under the weight of this world, and help us to build a relationship that blossoms year after year.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
