To Grow In Compassion –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today, we come before You with a heartfelt request: help us grow in compassion toward one another. Open our eyes to see our spouse’s struggles, fears, and challenges with greater understanding and grace.

Teach us to listen with patience and to respond with kindness, even when we don’t fully understand the weight of what the other is carrying. Soften our hearts, Lord, so that we may never dismiss their burdens or overlook the ways they are hurting. Instead, may we be a safe place for each other—a source of comfort, encouragement, and unwavering love.

Help us to extend the same grace to each other that You extend to us daily. When frustrations arise, remind us of the power of gentleness and the importance of lifting one another up. Let our words bring healing, and let our actions reflect the depth of care we have for each other.

Father, we know that compassion requires humility, and so we ask You to shape our hearts to be more like Yours. Let us walk through life with a spirit of selflessness, seeking to serve rather than to be served. And through this growth, may our marriage become a reflection of Your love—a love that meets us where we are and carries us forward in hope and faith.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
