To Keep Our Thoughts Pure – Today’s
Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your Word tells us “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.” And then Your Word tells us that this should be our way of living. And so, we’re asking that you would help us to carefully guard our minds — to not allow thoughts that could lead us to sin so that we will not be instruments of unrighteousness, but rather instruments of righteousness to Your glory.
Give us the strength to remain pure to each other, and the grace to be noble and true. Teach us ways to admire each other and to build each other up in healthy ways. Help us to bring out the best in each other with the words that we speak, and the way that we love.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
