To Live Self-Controlled Lives –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we journey through this life together, may we strive to be self-disciplined. Lord, guide our steps so that we may be faithful stewards of all You have entrusted to us. Teach us to embrace restraint in our words and actions, that our marriage may reflect the fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We ask for the strength to resist temptations that draw us away from Your path. Instill in us the wisdom to prioritize our time and resources to honor each other and Your kingdom. Help us to practice patience, to speak with kindness, and to act with integrity, even when it challenges us.

Remind us daily, dear Lord, that self-discipline is not only a personal endeavor but a mutual commitment that strengthens our marriage and brings us closer to You.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
