To Love the Way You Love

To Love the Way You Love –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

You have shown us what true love looks like. It’s patient, kind, and selfless. It keeps no record of wrongs but rejoices with the truth. Your love never fails, even when we falter and fall short. Teach us, O Lord, to love with that same steadfastness and grace.

We ask that You help us to be quick to listen and slow to speak, granting us the wisdom to understand each other’s hearts and the patience to work through our differences. May our words be seasoned with kindness and our actions reflect the humility of Christ.

In moments of misunderstanding, remind us of Your mercy, O God. Help us to forgive as freely as You have forgiven us, leaving no room for bitterness or resentment in our hearts. Strengthen our bond, that we might face each challenge hand in hand, grounded in Your love.

Lord, in times of joy, help us to celebrate with grateful hearts, recognizing every blessing as a gift from You. May our laughter be a melody of praise, and our love be a testament to Your faithfulness.

We pray, Father, that our love for each other would be a reflection of Your love for us — a love that is unending, unwavering, and unconditional. May our marriage be a beacon of hope, a sanctuary of peace, and a living example of Your love at work in our lives.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, KJV

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, NIV
