To Plant Seeds Of Love, Kindness, And Encouragement

To Plant Seeds Of Love, Kindness, And Encouragement –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your Word reminds us of the importance of sowing seeds—planting them in the morning, not knowing which will grow to maturity (Ecclesiastes 11:6). In the same way, we know that the seeds of our prayers, efforts, and service in marriage are planted with faith, trusting You for the outcome. We acknowledge that it is only by Your grace that these seeds take root and flourish.

Lord, we confess that we cannot change each other, nor can we control the growth of those seeds. But we can love with the love You’ve shown us, we can pray with unwavering faith, and we can walk in obedience to Your will for our marriage. Help us to surrender the desire to control or expect results on our terms, and instead trust Your perfect timing and plan.

Teach us, Father, to do our part faithfully. Show us how to plant seeds of love, kindness, and encouragement daily—building each other up rather than tearing down. Inspire us to lift one another in prayer, seeking Your guidance and strength for our relationship. May our marriage be a reflection of Your love, rooted in patience, humility, and grace.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. – Ecclesiastes 11:4-6, KJV

Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed[a] in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well. – Ecclesiastes 11:4-6, NIV
