To Remain Steadfast In Our Faith

To Remain Steadfast In Our Faith –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Life is full of transition. From the day we became man and wife we experience change in a big way. Our home, our families, our bodies, our jobs… and all the adjustments that come with growing together as one.

So many things are changing with time. This world is moving beneath our feet and we’re moving with it. Some days the changes come easy, but other days it’s tough to adjust to the transition. And so we ask for Your peace over our lives. Teach us to be content with whatever situation we find ourselves in.

With all the change, help us to remain steadfast in our faith, fervent in love, and holding fast to the hope we have through Jesus Christ.

Help us to see the beauty that comes with every season in life. Give us the strength to let go of the past, and the faith to trust You with the next step we take.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; atime to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. – Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, KJV

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. – Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, NIV
