To Turn From The Things Of This World – 
Today’s Marriage Prayer 

Dear Heavenly Father,

We ask that You reveal the mystery of Your truth to us, that we may turn from the things of this world, being like-minded, strong in faith, and filled with compassion, mercy, and grace. May the pride and self-centeredness that works only to divide be cast far behind us. May we be united as one.

Remind us that strength lies in numbers, and how two are stronger than one. Teach us to work as a team, and to strengthen the bond that You’ve designed. Help us to live harmoniously, giving up selfish desires, not only for the sake of our marriage but above all for the sake of our faith. 

We ask that You draw us together Lord — build oneness and love. Help us to stand side-by-side through the triumphs and tragedies of everyday life resolute and unafraid. Remind us that this life is a blessing — each day a gift to be opened and shared. 

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
