To Value Humility Over Pride – Today’s Marriage Prayer
I’m using the next month to get our next Bible Study done. In the meantime, I redid one of our older studies The Full Armor Of God. I added more content, better graphics, and thought provoking questions. I won’t be going through this one with you as I want to focus on the new study, but if you are looking for a study to work on during my break, it will keep you busy.
It’s available for free in the members only section of the blog. If you are a subscriber, you can find the link to it at the bottom of the emails you have received.

To Value Humility Over Pride –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with humble hearts, seeking Your guidance and protection. We recognize that pride can be a barrier in our relationship, preventing us from fully embracing the unity and love You desire for us. Lord, guard our hearts against the inclination to prioritize our own needs and desires above those of our spouse.
Teach us, O God, to value humility over pride, to choose servanthood over self-importance. May we remember the example of Jesus, who “did not come to be served, but to serve”. Help us to put this into practice in our marriage, serving one another in love and with a spirit of grace.
Lord, we ask for Your wisdom to recognize when pride is creeping into our hearts. Give us the strength to admit our faults to one another, to seek forgiveness, and to forgive in turn, just as in Christ, You have forgiven us. May our love for each other grow deeper as we walk in obedience to Your Word, always giving honor to You and to one another above ourselves.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. – Proverbs 11:2-3, KJV
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. – Proverbs 11:2-3, NIV
