True Strength Comes From You Alone— Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
In the joys and challenges of life, we often lean on each other for strength, but Lord, we acknowledge that our true strength comes from You alone.
When we are weary, remind us that You are our refuge. As Your Word says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1, KJV). May we turn to You first in our moments of weakness, seeking Your wisdom, comfort, and peace.
Teach us, Lord, not to place the full weight of our burdens on each other, but to carry them together in faith, lifting them up to You. Help us to encourage one another, but also to release the pressure of being each other’s sole source of support. You alone are our firm foundation, our Rock that cannot be shaken.
When life feels overwhelming, remind us to pray together, to seek Your presence, and to trust that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). May our love be strengthened not by our own ability, but by Your grace working in us.
We ask that You keep us united in faith, steadfast in love, and always looking to You as the source of our strength.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. — Psalm 46:1-3, KJV
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. — Psalm 46:1-3, NIV
