Quieting Your Heart – Advent Devotional Bible Study

Over the course of four weeks beginning Tuesday, November 28th, and leading up to Christmas, join me as we journey together through the rich biblical themes of Love, Joy, Hope, and Peace. Each day is a refreshing look at scripture, shedding light on timeless stories ranging from Jacob and Rachel’s enduring love to the inspiring resilience of Paul and Silas.

This advent-devotional Bible study is an invitation to rediscover the profound love of God, revealed in the humble birth of our Savior.

Karissa is also back to bless us each week with her insightful videos. If you would like more information on our study, visit our website.

Turning Our Mourning Into Dancing
– Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

In marriage, we share not only joys but also sorrows. We pray for the strength to support each other in times of mourning. May our words and actions embody the love and patience You show us every day. Let our home be a sanctuary of understanding, where tears are met with gentle embraces and words of comfort.

We ask that You help us to listen with open hearts and to speak with kindness. Help us to remember the joyful times, and to cherish the memories that bring light to the darker moments. May our love be a reflection of Your eternal love, a source of warmth and encouragement in the midst of grief.

In moments of despair, remind us that we are not alone. You are our Comforter, turning our mourning into dancing and clothing us with joy.

We pray for Your healing touch on our hearts, knowing that through You, we find the courage to face each day. Bind us together, Lord, with cords of love that cannot be broken, as we support and uplift one another in these times of loss.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, KJV

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NIV
