Walking Humbly Together

Walking Humbly Together — Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

Your Word shows us what You require—to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You. Today we ask that these qualities would shape our marriage in steady and lasting ways.

Teach us to walk humbly.

When pride begins to rise, quiet it. When we are tempted to insist on our own way, remind us to step back and consider one another. Help us hold our opinions with humility and our words with care.

Lord, teach us to love mercy. When mistakes happen, soften our hearts toward one another. Let compassion guide our responses. Help us extend grace freely, remembering how much grace You have shown us.

And Father, lead us to act justly in our relationship. Let fairness, honesty, and integrity mark the way we treat each other. Keep us from selfishness, and help us pursue what is right in Your eyes.

As we walk through life together, keep us close to You. Let humility steady our steps, mercy shape our tone, and Your presence guide our path.

May our marriage reflect a quiet obedience to Your Word—faithful, sincere, and rooted in You.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
