Walking in Humility Together - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Your Word teaches us to do nothing out of selfish ambition, but in humility to value others above ourselves. In our marriage, help us to live this truth daily.
When pride tries to rise up, we ask that You remind us of Christ—who humbled Himself, even to the point of the cross. Please shape our hearts to reflect His example, so that instead of clinging to our own way, we seek to serve one another in love.
May humility guide our words, soften our disagreements, and strengthen our unity. May our marriage show that true greatness is not found in winning arguments or seeking our own gain, but in laying ourselves down for the good of each other.
And as we walk this path together, let our love be a quiet testimony to the world that Jesus is Lord, and His Spirit is at work in us.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. — John 13:35, KJV

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. — John 13:35, NIV
