Walking in Obedience Together - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Jesus said, “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” That reminds us that love for Christ is proven in obedience, and obedience flows from hearts shaped by Your Word.
Your Word is not just ink on a page—it is living and powerful, cutting through our excuses, transforming our desires, and shaping us into the likeness of Christ. In our marriage, let it be the authority we submit to, the truth that convicts us, and the strength that enables us to change.
When Scripture tells us to forgive, let it soften our hearts. When it calls us to serve, let it fill us with joy. When it commands us to be faithful, let it steady us to endure. May Your Word do its full work in us, so that our marriage is marked not by what we can produce, but by the transforming power of Your truth at work within us.
