We Find Ourselves Tested And Tried –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Heavenly Father, we come before You acknowledging that there are seasons in our marriage and in our lives when we pray fervently but don’t see immediate change. We find ourselves tested and tried, wondering when the struggle will end. During these times, we can feel powerless, discouraged, and weak, but even in the depths of our trouble, we are reminded of the hope that anchors our soul.
You have given us a hope that endures beyond our circumstances, a hope that is steadfast even when our world feels uncertain. When we take hold of this hope, we find strength to wait upon You, Lord, with faith that Your timing is perfect, even when we cannot see the outcome.
As William Kirkpatrick wrote in the hymn, “We have an anchor that keeps the soul, steadfast and sure while the billows roll, fastened to the Rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love.” Lord, we are reminded that You are our unshakable Rock. No matter how strong the storms of life may be, we can stand firm because of the strength You provide. We are held secure, not by our own abilities, but by Your grace and the faith You’ve given us.
Thank You, Father, for the hope that never fails. Thank You for the peace that fills our hearts when we live according to Your Word. Even when we feel unsteady, we know that Your love keeps us grounded and Your faithfulness is unwavering.
We place our marriage in Your hands, confident that You will sustain us, guide us, and continue to anchor us in Your love.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
